I'm always scouring the New England countryside for antique textiles to repurpose into lovely decorative pieces here in my Massachusetts farmhouse studio.

Antique richly detailed French fabric from the 19th century is paired with sumptuous antique luxe lace to create this hanging horse. This fabric horse is fashioned by hand with charming but rich antique fabric which is richly textured and so luxe. The handwork is lovely and is a rich quality one never sees today. The handwork fantastic and so luxurious. I added a peach silk rosebud at the fetlock and a vintage purple button for the rein rosette. The horse can be hung with the jute string which is reversible. The reverse is charming embroidered antique linen.

The price reflects the rarity of the fabric and laces and the labor involved to make this one of a kind item.

The horse is suitable for any farmhouse, shabby cottagecore or French country decors.
